第1個ACQUITY UPLC 顆粒是 1.7 μm 亞乙基橋雜化顆粒(BEH),這是沃特世**代雜化顆粒,它是 UPLC 技術的一個關鍵推動力,共有 5 種不同的鍵合相:C18, C8, Shield RP18,Phenyl 和 HILIC。由于它是雜化顆粒,因此具有更寬的 pH 使用范圍(pH 1-12),能夠幫助分離科學家快速有效地開發(fā)方法。同時,BEH 顆粒技術也用于 XBridge 系列的 HPLC色譜柱,有不同粒徑(2.5、3.5、5 和 10 μm)供選,因此分離方法能夠在 HPLC 和 UPLC 技術平臺實現(xiàn)無縫轉換。
第2個ACQUITY UPLC 顆粒是 1.8μm 的高強度硅膠顆粒(HSS),共有三種不同的鍵合相:HSS C18 、HSS C18 SB (Selectivity for Bases)和 T3。HSS C18 是全封端的超高效通用型的C18 柱:為堿性化合物提供良好的峰形;同 ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 柱相比有更強的保留能力;在酸性流動相條件下具有超長的使用壽命。HSS C18 SB(Selectivity for Bases)是未經封端處理的 C18 柱,設計用于低 pH 條件下方法開發(fā),它提供互補的分離選擇性,特別針對堿性化合物,具有與現(xiàn)代高覆蓋率 C18 柱不同的分離選擇性。HSS T3 色譜柱是與 100 %水性流動相兼容的 C18 柱,專門用來保留和分離極性水溶性好的有機小分子,很像 Atlantis T3 HPLC 柱。
